Didactic Teaching
The didactic portion of the Pediatric Nephrology Training Program includes courses and conferences held by the Division of Pediatric Nephrology, the Division of (Adult) Nephrology and the Department of Pediatrics. 

Weekly Clinical Conferences are attended by fellows, faculty and nurse practitioner to discuss patients seen in the outpatient clinic over the previous week as well as interesting cases on the inpatient service.   
Journal Club is held monthly, with topical presentations by faculty and fellows.
Multidisciplinary end stage kidney disease conferences attended by faculty, fellows, social workers, nurses and nutritionists occur monthly to review peritoneal dialysis, hemodialysis and transplant patients followed in the Division. 

Pediatric Urology/Nephrology/Radiology Conference is a monthly conference organized jointly with members of the Divisions of Pediatric Nephrology, Pediatric Urology and Pediatric Radiology to review interesting cases involving patients with urologic/congenital renal disorders

City Wide Nephrology Conference is a weekly conference attended by adult and pediatric nephrology faculty and fellows and includes interactive didactic sessions on issues centered around patient care management. Renal biopsy cases are discussed monthly and are presented by the trainees.

Nephrology Fellows Research Conferences are bi-weekly conferences, which are organized by the Division of Nephrology of the Department of Medicine specifically for Nephrology fellows.  Faculty researchers, both basic science and clinical, present their research to the fellows in sessions designed to foster close interaction between the speaker and the attendees. 

Pediatric Fellows Course is a monthly core curriculum lecture series run by the Department of Pediatrics that covers topics of importance to all pediatrics fellows, such as sleep and fatigue, securing a faculty position, risk management and effective teaching.

Pediatrics Research Conference is a weekly research conference in which faculty and senior fellows present their work. Trainees attend these conferences while on research rotations and will present their clinical or basic science research at the conference at least once during their fellowship
