University Hospitals Prentiss Pediatric Surgery Center Answers Patient Questions and Calms Concerns

UH Prentiss Pediatric Surgery Center physicians and staff understand that the day of surgery can be stressful for children and their family members. Therefore, our expert team provides families with all of the necessary information prior to the procedure.

From checking in to entering the operating room, we want to make the surgical process as smooth as possible. At UH Prentiss Pediatric Surgery Center, patient and family comfort and peace of mind are among our top priorities.

Check-In

The patient and family should arrive at UH Prentiss Pediatric Surgery Center two hours before the patient’s scheduled procedure time and check in at the Admitting Desk located on the first floor of University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital.

After checking in, the family will be directed to UH Prentiss Pediatric Surgery Center waiting area located on the second floor of UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. Once the child’s name is called by one of our UH Prentiss Pediatric Surgery Center staff, he or she and up to two family members will be escorted into the preoperative area.
