Pediatric Services is a group pediatric practice providing primary care to children from infancy to young adulthood (age 21). The practice was founded in 1965 and became affiliated with University Hospitals in 1994. Our pediatricians are members of the American Academy of Pediatrics and are certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Comprehensive (well) visits following the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics help guide you and your child from the immunizations and feeding problems of infancy through the challenges of adolescence. These are offered on weekdays and Saturdays. The first visit is only a couple of days after a patient goes home from the hospital. We then see the child at 2 weeks of age, 1 month of age, then every two months until six months and every three months until 18 months. We will try to remind the patient and his or her family at each visit when the next one is due.
We also reserve a significant amount of daily office time to the care of common illnesses. These visits are limited to the problem at hand, may be more variable in length and are not a substitute for well visits.
Illness visits are also available during evening, weekend and holiday office hours. We appreciate an individual’s cooperation in reserving nontraditional office hours for urgent matters and not requesting them as a matter of convenience.
Timely office visits are necessary for many chronic conditions requiring medication. At the very least, this will involve an annual health supervision visit -though more frequent follow-up visits may be required.
We understand medical care is expensive, We attempt to set fees and charge for services as fairly as possible. The reimbursement procedures of insurance companies are very complex. Please become as familiar as possible with your insurance policy and be prepared to pay any co-pays or deductibles required at the time of the service. We are obligated by the insurance companies to collect these fees. Please contact us with any concerns you have.
