Certified Child Life Specialists in this department are specially trained to help children and their families understand and manage the hospital experience. They provide developmental, educational, and therapeutic interventions. Their mission is to support your child while recognizing family strengths and respecting different methods of coping.

Rainbow Hearts

This outstanding support group was created for parents of children who have had or will have surgery to treat congenital heart defects. The group holds regular meetings where parents share their experiences with one another. In a relaxed, positive, nurturing atmosphere, medical specialists are often on hand to answer parents’ questions and address their concerns.
