Our team of dedicated specialists coordinates efforts to deliver comprehensive care for every aspect of your family’s needs. We even design special services. For example, UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital created a support network to help families with non-medical services – social workers to help with family interactions, financial representatives to counsel on tough issues, child life specialists to help with inevitable emotional challenges, etc.
In addition, we engage in ongoing research for developing innovative therapies and for addressing safety issues such as complications or risks that may be associated with medications.
The Division of Hematology/Oncology operates an important program that involves all the unique aspects of care at UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital and all the special programs and services in University Hospitals Ireland Cancer Center now University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center – which is one of only about 40 centers across the United States that are designated and approved as comprehensive centers by the National Cancer Institute (NCI).
