Zach Babal is a senior at MidPark High School and is treated at the University Hospitals’ Ireland Cancer Center for T-cell leukemia.
On October 24, Melissa Najda RN, Barb Humrick PNP, and Dr. Erin Cockrell attended Zach’s final high school football game to cheer him on. Zach is Senior Captain of 2008 MidPark Varsity Football Team and returning lettermen in football, wrestling and track and field. During the past year, Zach has been determined not to let his illness keep him on the sidelines. He used all of his strength and determination to return to the field and we are happy to report his leukemia is currently in remission.

Contributions will help families of sick children

Money is available to help the families of patients at Rainbow Babies and Childrens Hospital in Cleveland, thanks to the efforts of the Zichi family and generous shoppers and benefactors.
Emily's Hopeful Holiday shopping event at St. Joseph School in Amherst on Sunday raised $6,700 to use to assist the families this holiday season.
