Dr. Quang is an Instructor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Pharmacology & Critical Care at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital. A native Clevelander, growing up in South Euclid, he graduated from the 6-year combined, accelerated B.S./M.D. program at the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. He completed a residency in pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Michigan and then received fellowship training in medical toxicology/clinical pharmacology, pediatric environmental health, and pediatric emergency medicine at Children’s Hospital of Boston. Returning to Cleveland in 2003 to become the Medical Director of the Greater Cleveland Poison Control Center at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, he is also the principal investigator of a toxicology and neuropharmacology laboratory which conducts basic science research on “club drugs” and has been supported by awards from the NIH, American Academy of Clinical Toxicology, American College of Medical Toxicology, and industry.
Dr. Quang, who is board certified in Pediatrics and in Medical Toxicology, has clinical expertise for evaluating and treating the following environmental health-related illnesses in children: lead poisoning, mercury poisoning, arsenic poisoning, pesticide-related illness, building-related illness (indoor air pollutants, volatile organic compounds, etc.), mold-related illness, and multiple chemical sensitivity syndrome. He will be available for clinical referrals later in 2005.
