Palatal myoclonus

Definition

  

Palatal myoclonus is a rapid contraction (spasm) of the muscles in the roof of the mouth.


Causes, incidence, and risk factors

  

It is usually due to lesions on brain nerve pathways, including multiple sclerosis.
