Application Process-Requirements

Thank you for your interest in our program! We accept and review applications through ERAS only. Applications are eligible for submission and review from September 1st through December 31st only. After initial review of applications, candidates who are selected for an interview will be contacted via email.

Due to the high interest in our program we are unable to respond to communications regarding questions about eligibility criteria or the status of your application. We ask that you review all of the information on our website and if you are interested in our program, please apply through ERAS.

For an application to be complete, it MUST contain the following:

  • ERAS Application Form
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Personal Statement
  • Transcript
  • USMLE Scores or COMLEX Scores
  • Deans Letter
  • Three Recommendation Letters
  • Photo

Interview

  • Interview Day
    We hope that your experience is an enjoyable one. We look forward to you touring our state-of-the-art facilities, learning about our great educational programs, meeting our wonderful residents, and hearing about what great things our city has to offer.
  • Hotel Accommodations
    Applicants who are selected for an interview are provided with overnight accommodations at a subsidized rate at the beautiful Glidden House in University Circle. Hotel arrangements will be made for you by our program.
  • Directions and Transportation Options
    To assist you with your transportation plans, we have included several options on how to make your way to Cleveland, our Hospital, and the Hotel.

Policy on Hiring Non-Tobacco Users

University Hospitals is committed to the health and wellness of our employees, our patients and our community. As part of these efforts, effective January 1, 2012, we will only hire candidates that do not use tobacco products. All candidates will be required to confirm their non-tobacco use when expressing interest for a job opportunity. Selected candidates for hire will be tested for tobacco use as part of the pre-employment lab screening process already in place.
