The Division of Pediatric Nephrology at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital consists of 3 faculty members, 1 transplant coordinator/RN, 1 nurse-educator, 1 pediatric peritoneal dialysis nurse, 1 nutritionist and 1 social worker. In additional to caring for patients with general nephrology conditions, the Division of Pediatric Nephrology provides specialized care to children with hypertension in the Rainbow Hypertension Center, end stage renal disease in the Rainbow Dialysis and Renal Transplant Center, and inherited and congenital renal disorders in the Rainbow Center for Inherited Kidney Diseases.

Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital is affiliated with the Case School of Medicine. The medical school is in a phase of rapid expansion of its research effort and is now among the top 10-15 medical schools for NIH funding. The Department of Pediatrics at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital consists of ~140 faculty members, is among the top 5 departments of pediatrics in NIH funding, and is consistently ranked among the top pediatric hospitals in the country, as named by US News and World Report.
