The Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine provides emergency care to meet the complex needs of acutely ill or injured children and their families.

Members of this Division have special training in the management of children with a wide variety of minor illnesses, medically fragile and rare and serious illnesses.

In conjunction with various surgical specialists, care is provided for children with injuries ranging from minor to the most serious multiple trauma.

A variety of outreach programs are provided by the faculty, including Pediatric Advanced Life Support Courses, lectures on topics of interest related to emergency care, community outreach projects and representation on community, state and national organizations.
