We welcome applications from individuals who are seeking a stimulating and satisfying lifelong career in the care of acutely ill and injured children. Individuals who are (or have been) fellows in our program are committed to providing excellent patient care in a compassionate and family centered manner in a busy yet educationally stimulating environment. Individuals in our program are committed to the advancement of their knowledge under the guidance and mentorship of Division faculty, as they participate in all aspects of education and administration. Individuals design and purse their scholarly projects using guidance from the faculty of the Division, and the Department of Pediatrics and additional resources available at Case School of Medicine. In addition individuals participate in the important aspect of advocacy for PEM as they engage in community activities, educate pre hospital personnel and attend local and state meeting acting as a voice for children in emergency situations. Individuals who have completed an accredited pediatric residency program and are eligible for the Pediatric Boards are welcome to apply to our program. Fellows who are pediatric board eligible must become board certified during their fellowship in order to be eligible for the Pediatric Emergency Medicine sub-board.
