Born at Metro hospital just across town and raised on the west side in Avon Lake, I am a Clevelander through and through. I did get to spend an exciting 4 years as an Ohio State undergrad (GO BUCKS!) before returning to Cleveland for medical school at Case Western Reserve University. I had planned to leave for residency, but the pull of the University Hospitals/Rainbow program (and meeting my wife, Michelle) was too strong to ignore. I thoroughly enjoyed my 4 years here as a Med/Peds resident and would not change a thing if asked to do it all over again. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and 1 year-old daughter, Madeline. My favorite aspects of Cleveland include the huge variety of awesome restaurants, Playhouse Square, and often painfully rooting for the Indians, Browns, and Cavs. I am thrilled to be spending a 5th (or 9th) year here as Med/Peds Chief Resident this upcoming year and know that we can prove what a wonderful place Rainbow can be. Next year, I will be leaving to pursue a fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at Northwestern/Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago, but Cleveland and Rainbow will always remain home.
