Accredited Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship

UH Rainbow Babies and Children’s Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship is an ACGME-accredited three year training program. Fellows develop mastery of general pediatric cardiology, with thorough training in the subspecialty areas of cardiology, including advanced non-invasive imaging, fetal cardiology, electrophysiology, interventional cardiac catheterization and adult congenital heart disease. Fellows are paired with a faculty member and attend outpatient clinic on a regular basis. Fellows also develop and execute an original research project, with dedicated research time starting in the first year, and increasing through the three years of fellowship.

World-Class Research at UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital

UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital’s Horvitz Pediatric Research Center is a national leader in pediatric research, receiving more than $30 million annually from the National Institutes of Health, NASA, and other funding sources. The Center enables physicians and scientists to discover treatments for diseases that afflict children, thus providing our patients with access to the latest medical developments and breakthroughs.

The Heart Center is deeply involved in research to design and improve techniques and technology for the treatment of pediatric cardiac disease. Additional academic work in the Division aims to optimize the education of medical learners, and improve and ensure quality of care throughout the division.
