Multidisciplinary Diagnostic Evaluations for Children Younger than 48 Months with Developmental Delays and/or Suspected Autism Spectrum Disorders

Autism Diagnostic Clinic Team Includes:

  • Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician
  • Pediatric Neuropsychologist
  • Speech Pathologist
  • Behavior Analyst

The Evaluation is a Collaboration of:

  • Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics
  • Clinical Psychology
  • Speech Language Pathology

There are Three Visits:

  • Day One: Psychology and Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics
  • Day Two: Speech Pathology and Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule
  • Day Three: Parent Meeting with Diagnostic Formulation and Recommendations

In order to schedule an appointment, the parents must complete a packet of questionnaires which indicate that the child is likely to be in the autism spectrum. Call UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital at 216-UH4-KIDS (844-5437) to receive a packet. Appointments will be made through the hospital’s Child Development Center after the packets are received.
