Meet our newest care team member

Two great Cleveland organizations – American Greetings Properties, the intellectual property and outbound licensing division of American Greetings Corporation, and University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, the region’s most trusted name in pediatric health care – are teaming up based on their shared mission of caring to provide a special edition Care Bear to children in our community.

Bo the Take Care Bear has traveled from Care-a-lot, the Care Bears’ magical world in the clouds, to be the Bear-in-Residence at UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. Bo will serve as a familiar face to children and families. His sole mission is to soften the health care experience by helping children feel better and brightening their days.

Smiles have a way of happening wherever Bo goes. Just like a shimmering rainbow, Bo lights up every room he enters and spreads hope, comfort and cheer to every child he meets. In the same way that he cares for each and every patient, Bo also cares for moms, dads and siblings, too. He knows that getting better is a team effort and that the family is a very important part of the healing process.

Bo’s favorite way of lifting spirits is by giving hugs. He is such a good hugger, in fact, he won the Best Bear Hugger award in Care-a-lot.

If ever a Care Bear was made for a job, Bo was made for the one at UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. He is excited to join our doctors, nurses, and entire staff of pediatric specialists in working day and night to provide a nurturing, family-centered environment of kindness and caring that puts young patients at ease, helping them to heal faster.
