Adoption health services

The Adoption Health Service Clinic is designed to meet the needs of internationally adopted children and their families before and after adoption.

This program has been providing services to meet the special needs of internationally adopted children since 2002. Preadoption consultations are available for families who seek information about the issues that internationally adopted children experience and evaluation of medical information obtained through their adoption agency.

After adoption, services provided include medical investigation – including infectious diseases, growth and nutrition and interventions for attachment issues, sleep issues, developmental delays, behavioral issues and assessment for possible prenatal alcohol exposure. The program also provides services for learning or behavior issues, including ADHD.
