Transforming cancer care for teens and young adults

The Angie Fowler Adolescent & Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Institute at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital – ranked one of America’s Best Children’s Hospitals in cancer care by U.S. News & World Report – recently opened its new, state-of-the-art outpatient center for patients with childhood and AYA cancers and blood disorders.

Located on the hospital’s eighth floor, the new outpatient center offers separate, age-appropriate areas, technologies and amenities for babies/children and adolescents/young adults.

The Angie Fowler AYA Institute is fully integrated with UH Seidman Cancer Center – part of Case Comprehensive Cancer Center at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine – and specifically designed to improve outcomes for the AYA patient population, providing access to advanced treatments, clinical trials, world-renowned physicians and a compassionate team of pediatric and AYA cancer specialists who provide support every step of the way.

Patients will also have access to a new rooftop healing garden – opening this summer – with views of the Cleveland skyline and surrounding landscapes.
