  • Pacemaker Insertion

    A pacemaker is a small electronic device that helps regulate slow electrical problems in the heart. The pacemaker is usually implanted in the chest, just below the collarbone. A pacemaker may be recommended to keep the heartbeat from slowing down to a dangerously low rate.

  • Pancreas Scan

    A pancreas scan uses nuclear radiology to search for, and sometime treat, tumors in the pancreas.

  • Pancreatic Polypeptide

    This test measures a substance in your blood called pancreatic polypeptide. Higher levels may mean you have a type of pancreatic tumor.

  • Pap

    This screening test looks for abnormal cells in the cervix. If abnormal cells are found, your healthcare provider can treat them right away, before they become cancerous.

  • Pap Test

    For a Pap test, your healthcare provider will collect and examine cells from your cervix. The cervix is the opening to the uterus. He or she will do this test to screen for cervical cancer and other problems.

  • Parathyroid Hormone

    This test measures a substance called parathyroid hormone in your blood. This hormone is needed to help regulate the level of calcium in your blood.

  • Parvovirus

    This test checks for a current or past infection with the virus that causes fifth disease in children.

  • Patent Foramen Ovale Transcatheter Repair

    A patent foramen ovale (PFO) is a small hole between the 2 upper chambers of the heart, the right and the left atrium. Patent foramen transcatheter repair is a procedure to fix this hole in the heart.

  • Pavlik Harness Treatment for Children

    The Pavlik harness is a soft splint. It is most commonly used for treating infants with developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH). It helps keep the infant's hips and knees bent and the thighs spread apart. It can also help promote healing in babies with broken thighbones (femurs).

  • Peak Flow Measurement

    Peak flow measurement is a quick test to measure air flowing out of the lungs.
