Joint Camp Classes
Patients Prepare for Joint Surgery at University Hospitals Parma Medical Center Joint Camp Classes
At UH Parma Medical Center’s Joint Camp, a highly trained team and a healing environment prepares patients for surgery and optimal recovery. Because long-lasting, total wellness is the goal of each team member at Joint Camp, every patient and their support person are active participants in this unique program that leads to improved outcomes.
UH Parma Medical Center's Joint Camp has received the Gold Seal of Approval in the management of joint replacement for hip/knee by The Joint Commission based on a review of compliance with national standards, clinical guidelines and outcomes of care.
As soon as a patient is scheduled or as they consider surgical options, they can attend educational sessions and are invited to bring a support person or coach. The coach works with the patient to learn rehabilitative exercises and expectations for post-surgical care for a successful return to activities of daily living.
Joint Camp ensures optimal outcomes for anyone considering one of the advanced joint replacement surgery options at UH Parma Medical Center, including:
- Total hip replacement
- Total knee replacement
- Total shoulder replacement
Your total wellness is our goal. You and your support person will be active participants in your success.
