About Our Survey

At University Hospitals, we believe in providing patients with all the information they need to make educated decisions about their health care and to choose the right doctor to meet their needs. That is why we partner with the independent patient satisfaction company Press Ganey to survey patients about their experiences at UH facilities and with UH physicians. We hold ourselves to the highest standards of care and are dedicated to creating a positive patient experience for every individual who sees a UH doctor.

Dr. Viryani was very nice and answered all the questions I had, however she was not forthcoming in any other information. She was very good in answering questions directly and in a way I could understand and was open to answering any of my questions, however she did not proffer additional insight. As this is my first pregnancy, I would have liked her to provide a little more general information on what to expect, etc. Also, at one point she was filling out a form while I was asking her questions.

Dr. Varyani is fantastic - there is no one else I would trust more as my OBGYN.

Dr. Varyani is always kind and caring. She is also great at asking me about my life and remembering small details I had going on the last time she saw me and asking me about them. She really puts a personal touch on the appointment.

I would like her to be nicer to her staff. It is no reflection in the care that I get, but it is noticeable.

I was in for my annual exam. Dr. Varyani came in, spoke very quickly - maybe less than 1-2 minutes about a personal life update , performed my exam and was quickly walking out of the room. I had questions regarding the recent medication I was prescribed the week prior (which there was no teaching on over the phone). from the time I checked in to the time I saw her, I waited about 30 minutes. I felt that she was rushed. she wasn't in the room with me more than 5-7 minutes.

I have already recommended Dr. Varyani to others

My provider was very kind and informational. She helped me make a decision ***** but it seemed like she was somewhat rushing me through the appointment. This was a big decision for me and I would have appreciated more information.

Dr. Varyani is efficient, but extremely thorough at the same time. She still takes time out to catch up on you and really gets to know her patients. I would not see any other dr!

Industry Relationships

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.

UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
