Bio

Kiranpreet Khurana, MD is a urology surgeon at University Hospital Cleveland Medical Center and University Hospitals Ahuja Medical Center. She is an assistant professor in the Department of Urology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Her special interests include counseling and treatment for male infertility, male sexual health and genitourinary reconstruction. She specializes in male reproductive health including infertility treatment, fertility preservation, oncofertility, vasectomy, vasectomy reversal, varicocele, low testosterone, sexual dysfunction, erectile dysfunction and Peyronie’s disease. She is skilled in various techniques including microsurgical vasectomy reversals, advanced sperm retrieval techniques, microscopic and laparoscopic varicocele repair and electroejaculation. She also specializes in advanced treatment options for erectile dysfunction and incontinence, including placement of prostheses. Additionally, she performs open, endoscopic and robotic genitourinary reconstructive surgeries for urethral and ureteral strictures, scrotal lymphedema, penile cancer, urinary diversions and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). As a urologist, she also treats cancers of the prostate, kidney, bladder and testes, female overactive bladder and incontinence, and kidney stones.

Dr. Khurana earned her undergraduate degree at Montclair State University, Upper Montclair, New Jersey with summa cum laude honors. She earned her medical degree at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey. She was selected to work with scientist urologic surgeons at National Institutes of Health for a year during medical school. She completed her residency at Cleveland Clinic and fellowship at New York University Langone Medical Center.

Dr. Khurana’s research interests include improving outcomes of care in male fertility and genitourinary conditions. She has published over a dozen research articles in peer-reviewed journals and written several book chapters. She has presented at many regional and national medical meetings. She is a member of American Urological Association.

She is married to her wonderful husband, a Cleveland native. She enjoys hiking and bicycling in the Metroparks, and is a Cleveland sports teams fan.
