Lulu Zhao was born in Mainland China, and grew up in the U.S. in Atlanta, GA. She has always been interested in how other people live. While studying the History of Medicine at Yale University, she tutored at an inner city high school in New Haven, and did her thesis on the creation of the hospice concept for the elderly. She then went on to medical school in Georgia, where she worked with the Augusta Free Clinic and Medical Students for Choice to improve access to healthcare for all. These days, she gets to work with her favorite population (women!) 24-7, and spends her free time learning about world news and dreaming of future places to travel.
