There are usually no symptoms with an early cervical cancer. A routine Pap test and pelvic exam are crucial to detecting cervical cancer at an early stage.
Symptoms may include:
- Thin, watery vaginal discharge
- Abnormal vaginal bleeding or spotting such as after sexual intercourse, between periods, a heavy menstrual flow, or post-menopausal bleeding
- Pain with intercourse
- Lower abdominal, pelvic, flank, or leg pain
- Changes in bowel or bladder habits
