At University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center, we provide coordinated cancer care through disease-specific teams that evaluate every patient and closely collaborate with his or her family physician. As a tertiary referral center, we review routine and complex cases and consult on decisions regarding multimodality care and neoadjuvant treatments. With one call to our referral line, patients and referring physicians can access an expert within 24 hours or quickly receive valuable medical advice.
UH Seidman Cancer Center is one of only 14 cancer centers in the U.S. that offers access to the new drug pipeline for early phase clinical trials. About 20 percent of our patients are enrolled in clinical trials, as compared to the national average of 4 percent.
