Health Matters

Health Matters Series Offers Health Education Opportunities and Community Events

Did you know that chronic diseases such as heart disease, stroke, cancer, diabetes and arthritis are among the most common, costly and preventable of all health problems in the U.S.?

And, did you know that experts agree that successful, healthy aging can be directly attributed to the lifestyle choices you make? Decisions you make every day related to nutrition, exercise and smoking behaviors surpass family history and genetics as the primary factors in achieving and maintaining good health.

This is why University Hospitals is pleased to announce the continuation of our Health Matters initiative, which offers ongoing programming across Northeast Ohio designed to create healthy, happy communities and empower individuals to take control of their own health.

Health Matters programming includes large-scale community Family Health and Safety Day events throughout the year and across the region offering education, health screenings and the opportunity to talk to our physician experts about a variety of health concerns. Be sure to stop by one our upcoming events.

We hope you will take advantage of the many opportunities Health Matters provides. Our goal is to improve the collective health of the communities we serve by engaging and empowering each person to understand that their health matters.
