Description:

In collaboration with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), University Hospitals Portage Medical Center is providing a one-day opportunity for the public to dispose of expired, unwanted or unused pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medications for destruction on Saturday, April 29, 2017. This program is anonymous and all medications will be accepted with no questions asked and no identification needed.

In addition to medications, University Hospitals Portage Medical Center is also offering on site recycling of paper products as part of the “Take Back” event, courtesy of Neoshred.

This event will be a drive-up and drop-off event; residents will have the opportunity to drive-up and dispose of their medications without having to leave their vehicle. Paper recycling will be located in the parking lot for easy drive-up access.

Neoshred will accept the following items for recycling:

  • Books
  • Cardboard
  • Coated paper
  • Color paper
  • Computer paper
  • General office materials/files/papers/etc.
  • Magazines
