Description:

Kids Kicking Cancer encourages pediatric and adolescent patients and survivors of cancer and blood disorders to be active and to recognize the health benefits of a healthy lifestyle.

Events are designed for children receiving care at any area hospital, whether they are on or off treatment.

Event features:

  • Diana Munz, Winner of Gold & Silver Medals at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney
  • Wally Morton, Head Coach of the CSU Men’s and Women’s Swimming Teams
  • CSU Men’s and Women’s Swim Team Members
  • Swim skills instruction, demonstrations, and games for patients and siblings, as well as open swim time and lunch for the whole family!

This event is free for patients and their siblings ages 5 -18.

All participants will receive a swim towel and goggles. A changing area will be available. Participants who are currently receiving treatment and patients who have had a stem cell transplant within the last year require medical clearance from their oncology nurse or physician.
