Nuclear Medicine
Nuclear Medicine imaging differs from other radiography in that it measures the physiology (functioning) of a bodily system rather than the anatomy. Radionuclides are introduced into the body, either by injection or ingestion and are then “traced” as they course through the bloodstream or diffuse into tissues. Nuclear Technologists at UH-Geneva Medical Center use a Siemens E-Cam Nuclear Camera, a leader in nuclear medicine imaging equipment.
