Anticoagulation Services
Coumadin (Warfarin) is an anticoagulant that slows the body’s ability to make clots.

To ensure patients are taking the correct dose, they will need a frequent blood test called a Protime (or PT/INR), which measures the length of time it takes the body to clot.

At the Coumadin Clinic, patients receive blood testing, the results, and the adjustment of the Coumadin within 15 minutes. Since there is no venipuncture (arm stick), there is minimal discomfort and bruising.
