Our specialized hand and wrist team are experts in diagnosing and treating a wide range of basic and complex hand and wrist conditions including:

  • Acquired compression neuropathies, bone and soft tissue neoplasms, Dupuytren’s contractures

Surgical and Non-Surgical Treatment Options

The majority of hand and wrist conditions can be treated with conservative treatments. Our hand and wrist specialists will start by recommending one or a combination of non-surgical treatments such as medications, injections, rest, splints, activity modifications or hand therapy.

If these treatments do not resolve your condition, our skilled surgical team can provide appropriate surgical options, including arthroscopic surgery or microvascular hand surgery. In addition, our team has the experience necessary for reconstruction of congenital abnormalities and complex post traumatic conditions.

Post-Surgery Rehabilitation Programs

Rehabilitation for a hand or wrist condition is essential regardless of whether you undergo a conservative or surgical treatment such as arthroscopy. Rehabilitation will help restore function, enhance your participation in sports and daily life and prevent injuries or impairment.

After conducting a thorough evaluation and gaining a complete understanding of your specific condition as well as environmental factors that may contribute to your pain and discomfort, our rehabilitation team will work together to design a personalized rehabilitation program.

Your rehabilitation plan may include activity modifications, functional activity training, custom splinting, manual therapy, ultrasound, electrical stimulation and additional exercises to strengthen the area.
