  • The laboratory is CAP and Joint Commission, as well as CLIA certified.
  • All testing personnel are degreed and certified in Laboratory Medicine. Our technologists have earned degrees in medical technology and are certified through the American Society of Clinical Pathologists/American Medical Technologists.

Easily Available, Accurate Results
  • Results are localized through University Hospitals LIS system and include information from all UH facilities, not just Geauga Medical Center.
  • Results are available to physicians at home or in their office via the UH Physician Portal.
  • Results are available on the UH Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Because we are partnered with the reference laboratory at the UH main campus, any STAT testing not done at Geauga Medical Center will be sent to UH with results available in two to three hours.
