The lab participates in a variety of health fairs in the community. Experienced lab techs are on hand to do glucose testing and answer any questions you may have. The lab will be offering cholesterol screening as well as the glucose checks in 2009.
The lab participates in University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center annual PSA Screening each year. Lab staff collects blood to screen for PSA testing. The test is offered to the community for $5.
The lab has partnered with the local law enforcement agencies to crack down on drunk driving. The lab and it’s staff have been certified by the Ohio Department of Health as a Forensic Alcohol testing site. It is the only area hospital to offer this testing.
Healthier Students, Fewer Absences
To help your students in Geauga County stay healthy and help you reduce absences, we offer Rapid-Flu and Rapid-Strep screenings. With flu season just around the corner, screenings will help to keep your school healthy by treating promptly those students who may be infectious. Our lab will provide the necessary supplies to your clinicians. Specimens will be picked up each day by courier. Results will be available that evening. And the cost will be minimal.
