Heart Attack
A heart attack occurs when the blood supply to the heart is severely restricted or stopped. Typically the change in blood flow occurs when one or more of the arteries supplying blood to the heart become blocked. If the blood flow is not restored quickly, areas of the heart will be damaged or die due to the lack of blood.

Take Action Immediately
Heart attacks are life-and-death emergencies where every second counts. If you see or have any of the symptoms of a heart attack, call 9-1-1 immediately. The sooner an individual experiencing a heart attack gets help, the higher the chances the person will have a successful outcome -- could very well save his or her life.
