University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.
UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.

As of December 31, 2015, Tanvir Syed, MD did not disclose any Outside Relationships with Industry.
Patient Satisfaction Reviews
About Our Survey
At University Hospitals, we believe in providing patients with all the information they need to make educated decisions
about their health care and to choose the right doctor to meet their needs. That is why we partner with the independent
patient satisfaction company Press Ganey to survey patients about their experiences at UH facilities and with UH physicians.
We hold ourselves to the highest standards of care and are dedicated to creating a positive patient experience for
every individual who sees a UH doctor.

I have had only 2 visits with the doctor. The first was a second opinion. At which time he not only explained my condition, he also drew a diagram of what I was experiencing. The second appt. was a follow up for test result he had ordered. Although I am still getting to know Dr.Syed I am very pleased with him. He and his staff took the time explaining and was very respectful of me and my feeling .

Time spent with me was less than 3 minutes after waiting 45 minutes to see him. I did understand what he was saying, however it did not leave any time for questions. He said his last appointment had ran over, which I understand happens, however I still expect to receive the same level of care.
