Andrew Filiatraut, DO, received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Dayton and graduated from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed an internal medicine track internship, as well as an internal medicine/emergency medicine residency at University Hospitals St. John Medical Center. Dr. Filiatraut has been appointed Program Director of the UH St. John Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency Program. He was a member of the Critical Care Committee at UH St. John Medical Center from 2005-2007. During his residency he received two awards for Outstanding Resident of the Year.

Dr. Filiatraut is the most compassionate and understanding physician. He is so dedicated to making sure all health questions or concerns are answered fully and completely understood. He is personable and relational. He sits with me and talks to me like I am the center of his attention in the room. I walk away knowing he took time and care to make sure we recap what the issues or concerns were, what the next steps will be, and to ensure I follow up with my necessary screenings and appointments. He is someone I recommend often!

The nurse wasted time asking off topic questions. She seemed to be unaware of why I was there. She spent too much time asking about the past instead of my current reason for the visit. She made me feel uncomfortable.

I was bitten by a spider, and the area was quite infected, antibiotics prescribed by Minute Clinic weren't working. My former PCP *** had recently left the practice, and I was without a doctor. Dr. Andrew Filiatraut is my husband's doctor, and he agreed to see me immediately when he heard the situation. He was very knowledgeable, and simply perfect in every way. I am so very grateful to him for getting the infection on track, and I am very happy to say he is now my PCP.

He is a worry good doctor.
I wholeheartedly trust Dr Filiatraut and any medical advice he provides. He doesn't jump to conclusions and gives great advice on preventative measures we can take ourselves. When there are symptoms that could relate to multiple problems, he asks a lot of questions and keeps me informed of tests or over the counter items to use until the actual "culprit" is identified.
Best doctor and nurse team ever. I'm definitely impressed with how thoughtful and kind they are. I have a rare autoimmune disease over the past year and how knowledgeable everyone is awesome. I tell everyone about my doctors at UH helped me to achieve remission.
