University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center Offers Free Mammograms and Breast Ultrasounds

UH Elyria Medical Center provides mammograms and breast ultrasound screenings at no cost through the Breast & Cervical Cancer Project. In cooperation with the Cuyahoga County Board of Health, which has been the facilitator of this project since 1994, UH Elyria Medical Center offers the service to individuals who meet the program’s eligibility requirements.

Each of the UH Elyria Medical Center Imaging Services departments locations in Elyria and Avon participate in the Breast & Cervical Cancer Project. To receive a no-cost mammogram or breast ultrasound, women must meet the following criteria:

  • Be age 50 or older
  • Have limited income
  • Have no insurance
  • Live in Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Ashtabula or Trumbull counties
  • Not be enrolled in Medicaid/Medicare

Hampson Mole Breast Health Suite at UH Elyria Medical Center offers advanced breast health care, imaging and a team of professionals dedicated to patient centered care from diagnosis through survivorship.
