Nurses

After care has been established at an initial visit with the doctor, the assigned nurse will assist the physician in managing medical care. The nurses provide an abundance of support to the patients to ensure their general health and well-being. The staff of nurses educates patients on the disease, directs patients to necessary resources, and communicates with other disciplines inside and outside of the SIU to establish, coordinate, and maintain continuity of care. Nurses are available in between physician appointments if a patient has an illness, question, or concern.

With over 29 years of combined experience, the nurses at the SIU are well attuned to the unique needs and concerns of people living with HIV/AIDS. To contact your nurse, call 216-844-7890.
