Three Steps to Lasik Surgery
Your road to laser vision correction is easy—

First: The Screening and Pre-Op

During the screening and pre-op which lasts about an hour, we will take a variety of measurements of your eyes using the best technology to deliver the most accurate preoperative diagnostics. At this stage, we will know which type of LASIK will be the best for you. From this, we can also determine your total cost. There are no hidden fees and ALL appointments—from the pre-op to the follow-ups—are included in the price.

Leading up to your surgery day, our coordinator, technician and physician are here for you to answer any last minute questions you may have. By phone, email or in person, we want you to feel comfortable and confident of your choice.

Second: The Surgery
Surgery is quick—about 30 seconds per eye. We ask you to arrive at the Laser Vision Center about an hour before your surgery and you must have someone with you to drive you home as you will be under light sedation. We understand as with any procedure that you may be jittery or nervous and will provide several relaxation therapies for you ahead of your surgery if you choose.

Third: The Follow-Up Appointments
We require a one-day post-op follow-up, followed by a one week visit, a one-month visit, 3-month check-up, 6-month check-up and one-year exam.

All our follow-up appointments are included in the price you receive at the time of the pre-op visit. If you ever feel a need to see us anytime outside of your post-ops visits, please don’t hesitate to call; there is no charge for in-between appointments. In addition, we also recommend you maintain routine eye care with an annual vision exam and screening at any of our UH Health Centers, as LASIK doesn’t replace the need to screen for glaucoma, cataracts or disease-based contradictions.
