Previous meeting, July 2006
The summer meeting of the Greater Cleveland Cochlear Implant Support Group was held at University Hospitals, Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital July 12th, 2006. The meeting was attended by over 50 people from the Cleveland community. The topic
of the meeting was “Telephone options and tips for cochlear implant users.” The discussion included helpful speech processor programming tips by Robin Piper, AuD, Audiologist, aural rehabilitation tips by Lindsay Zombeck, MA, Speech-Language Pathologist, and a live demonstration by Barbara Wolansky, Cochlear Implant Recipient. Personal experinece and insight was shared by the CI recipients in the audience, as well. Thanks go out to all who participated and helped make the meeting a successful experience.
Upcoming meetings (note change of location)
The final meeting for 2006 is scheduled Wednesday October 18
th, from 7:00 – 9:00 PM at the Millridge Center, 950 Millridge Road, Highlands Hts, OH 44143. Free parking is available in the school parking lot. A panel of Educational Audiologists will speak on the topic of
“Tips for a Successful School Year for the Child with a Cochlear Implant”.
