Intro: This research study is designed to understand the use of pain medication during walking in people who have osteoarthritis of the knees.
Condition:
Description: This research study is designed to understand the use of pain medication during walking in people who have osteoarthritis of the knees. Eligible participants will receive two doses of study medication (one dose of active study medication and one dose of placebo medication) and will be asked to walk on a flat surface for intervals of 20 minutes, until the pain becomes uncomfortable or sooner than 20 minutes for any other reason. Participation will last 4 weeks and the study visits will be conducted at the Beachwood office.
Criteria: Participants must be at least 45 years of age or older, have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis of the knees, and have knee pain when walking on a flat surface.
