Physical and Occupational Therapists Provide Comprehensive Rehabilitation Care for Patients

At University Hospitals Bedford Medical Center, a campus of UH Regional Hospitals, highly trained service-oriented physical and occupational therapists and therapist assistants work with referring physicians to provide comprehensive evaluations, treatment and patient education using the most recent research-based technology.

Treatment plans are developed to maximize each patient’s physical abilities. Goals are established in cooperation with our patients.

Services We Offer

We provide PT/OT evaluations and therapy spanning from adolescent to senior patients. Our services include:

  • Rehabilitation following spine injury, musculoskeletal disorders, occupational or motor vehicle accidents or injury
  • Postoperative care (e.g., joint replacement, ligament repair, etc.)
  • Balance, exercise and conditioning programs
  • Individualized home exercise programs
  • Recommendations and training for assistive or adapted devices
  • Patient education programs for arthritis, osteoporosis, chronic pain and repetitive stress disorders
  • Advanced vestibular rehabilitation with the Smart Balance Master™ by Natus
  • Pain control modalities
  • Treatment of headache and craniosacral syndromes

Specialty services include:

  • Hand therapy following traumatic injury or surgery including customized static and dynamic splinting
  • Women’s health physical therapy: management of musculoskeletal complications during and after pregnancy including pelvic pain, sacroiliac joint disorders and incontinence
