Summer Youth Volunteer Program

While volunteering is a fun and very rewarding experience, it is also a very serious commitment. Volunteering requires that you be willing to learn, work hard, act responsibly and be open to new experiences. The Summer Youth Volunteer Leadership Program is a ten-week program for students age 15 through graduation. Participants volunteer three to four hours per week. Students are permitted to miss only one week. At the conclusion of the program, participants receive a certificate documenting completion.

Step 1: Complete Online Summer Youth Application

Complete an online application and have your references complete the reference form and submit them. The reference form must be completed by someone who knows you from a professional relationship such as a guidance counselor, teacher, someone you have babysat for, an organization in which you belong, etc.

All observers are required to complete online compliance training and print the confirmation page. Turn in confirmation page with completed observation application to the Volunteer Services Department. For questions, call 216-593-5850.
