We welcome University Hospitals faculty and community physicians to join and practice as a medical staff member at UH Ahuja Medical Center. The applicant’s primary responsibility is to ensure that UH Ahuja Medical Center staff receives all of the information needed to evaluate his or her application for medical staff membership in a timely manner. The applicant (not medical staff services at UH Ahuja Medical Center) is responsible for ensuring that the hospital receives all of the requested information.
Medical Staff Services Mission
Medical Staff Services at UH Ahuja Medical Center is responsible for processing and maintaining an applicant’s credentials file. Medical Staff Services strives to:
- Provide credentialing services to the medical staff and allied health professionals in a professional and timely manner
- Provide accurate and necessary information regarding the medical staff and allied health professionals to other departments within UH Ahuja Medical Center and external entities
- Strictly maintain confidentiality of information
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures and the medical staff bylaws
- Adhere to legal, professional and accreditation requirements, including but not limited to federal and state regulations and Joint Commission accreditation standards
