Green Building

Creating healing environments through design, construction, and operations

On January 1, 2014, UH launched building policy guidelines intended to maximize the performance of our buildings, enhance the health and comfort of patients and staff and improve our environmental performance. Through the establishment of our Sustainable Construction, Renovation and Maintenance policy, we are embedding an integrated approach to design that positively impacts the life cycles of our facilities. This will result in improved indoor air quality, optimal energy and water efficiency, minimization of waste, and a healthier and more productive environment for people within our hospitals.
