Daily presence enhances accessibility of outpatient/inpatient consultations, tests and procedures

Bedford, OhioUniversity Hospitals (UH) Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute at UH Bedford Medical Center is pleased to welcome interventional cardiologist Noah Rosenthal, MD, to its acclaimed heart care team. Dr. Rosenthal now offers accessible minimally invasive and noninvasive cardiovascular tests and procedures to patients in the Bedford community.

With Dr. Rosenthal’s daily presence, UH Bedford Medical Center, a campus of UH Regional Hospitals, has expanded its preventive and interventional cardiovascular services for both inpatients and outpatients. These capabilities include ultrasound testing, echocardiography, stress testing and minimally invasive diagnostic cardiac catheterizations. Additionally, the hospital is an accredited Chest Pain Center, providing enhanced acute heart attack care with minimized Emergency Department-to-angioplasty time.

To complement his interventional expertise, Dr. Rosenthal stresses the importance of preventive cardiac care. “I offer down-to-earth, reasonable care geared toward what’s appropriate for you, so the best time to see me is when you feel fine,” says Dr. Rosenthal, who is board certified and fellowship trained in cardiovascular medicine. “When I consult with patients preventively we talk about risk factor modification to ensure their blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes are all under control. We talk about exercise, look at family history and consider any advanced screening modalities needed to prevent that first cardiac event which would require an intervention.”

Dr. Rosenthal rounds on UH Bedford Medical Center inpatients every day for follow-ups and new consultations. He sees outpatients during expanded hours in the hospital’s cardiology clinic located in the fourth floor UH Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute. “UH Bedford Medical Center’s cardiovascular facility is spectacular,” says Dr. Rosenthal. “It’s elegant, spacious and state-of-the-art. It gives us a great opportunity to offer advanced heart and vascular services to the community in and around Bedford.”

Dr. Rosenthal holds the positions of Medical Director of Cardiovascular Services and Co-Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, UH Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute at UH Bedford Medical Center. “Noah brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to a convenient community location and if his patients need to be transferred to UH Case Medical Center for more advanced interventional procedures, he follows them,” says Laurie Delgado, President, UH Bedford Medical Center. “The care Dr. Rosenthal provides is comprehensive, continuous and incredibly compassionate. Patients love him.”
