DiversityInc Top 10 Hospitals and Health Systems
For the second year in a row, DiversityInc has ranked University Hospitals No. 1 on its 2014 Hospital and Health Systems Specialty List. UH previously ranked No. 1 on the specialty list in 2013. The specialty list is part of DiversityInc’s Top 50 Companies for Diversity list, which began in 2001.
This year, 1,215 companies participated in DiversityInc’s survey. The survey focused on four key areas of diversity management: Talent pipeline and recruitment, talent development, CEO/leadership commitment, and supplier diversity.
Companies named to the DiversityInc Top 10 Hospital Systems are not eligible for the DiversityInc Top 50, but are judged leaders in the same indicators applied to the national companies that compete to receive the DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity designation.

The DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity is the leading assessment of diversity management in corporate America and globally. Participation in the survey has increased dramatically since it began 15 years ago.
The DiversityInc Top 50 list is derived exclusively from corporate survey submissions. To be considered for a spot in the DiversityInc Top 50, a company must score above average in all four areas. Companies are evaluated within the context of their own industries. The data is purely empirical and objective.
