A new technology course is now available in the Learning Management System (LMS). This course, UH Technology Overview, is designed for new UH employees of all job descriptions and responsibilities.

This course will provide hands-on training for UH employees on several applications, including:

• PC skills
• UH intranet navigation
• Employee Direct Access (EDA)
• Learning Management System (LMS)
• The corporate directory
• Microsoft Outlook

This week is National Heart Failure Awareness Week. The Heart & Vascular Institute will have a table in the Atrium during this week with information about heart failure, a chronic disease that affects millions of people of all ages. Featured will be information on the symptoms and treatment of heart failure and how to maintain a heart healthy diet. Nursing staff from the Heart & Vascular Institute and a registered dietician will be available 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. to answer your questions.

UHCMC's Go Red Celebration week will be held today - Thursday. Each day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. all are invited to join staff of the Heart & Vascular Center in the Atrium to show their support and raise funds for the American Heart Association. The celebration will feature a chocolate sale, Go Red giveaways, promotional items, educational materials, basket raffle and free blood pressure screenings.
