Cleveland Foundation Awards UHCMC Grant
UHCMC is the recipient of a $500,000-grant to help establish a new comprehensive maternal and fetal care center. The center will create a coordinated system to serve families facing high-risk pregnancies, complicated births, congenital issues or prematurity. Many expectant mothers in Northeast Ohio live below the poverty line and are more likely to experience such additional complicating factors as diabetes, obesity and hypertension. The aim of the center will be to coordinate care for these women across different areas of medicine.

New E-mail Records Retention Policy Presentation
The UH records management policy (GM-1) was recently updated to include e-mail. Beginning in July, e-mail messages will be automatically deleted from your mailbox unless the proper steps are taken to save the messages. Informational presentations will take place today and in April on the updated policy and how to appropriately retain e-mail messages. Fidelity Representative Visit
A Fidelity representative will be available for individual retirement consultations at UHCMC on Tuesday, April 1; Wednesday, April 16; and Wednesday, April 23. We encourage employees to take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about investing for retirement.
Consultations may be scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. These meetings will take place in interview room D, located on the 5th Floor of the MCCO building at UHCMC.

The Third Annual Neuroscience Symposium on Stroke
The neuroscience nursing conference will be held on April 17 from 8:15 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at the Wolstein building. The conference will include topics such as brain reperfusion, stroke rehabilitation and the use of tissue plasminogen activator (tPA). Lunch will be provided and nurses will receive contact hours.
