Eye Exams Available to UH Employees at No Cost to You
Have you had your annual eye exam? UH employees and family members covered by the UH Anthem insurance plan can now receive a vision exam from UH Eye Institute optometrists and ophthalmologists at no cost to you. The purpose of the exam is to check eye health and provide prescriptions for glasses, if needed. To schedule your appointment, call 866-UH4-CARE.

Mainframe MISQ, APLQ Information Now Available in Patient History Archive Application
MISQ (clinical data) and APLQ (anatomic pathology data), formerly housed on the now-decommissioned UH mainframe computer, is available on the UH Physician Portal by clicking on the “Patient History Archive” link. This data includes discharge summaries, op reports and procedures, outpatient and inpatient notes, emergency room documents, radiology interpretations and anatomic pathology results extending back to 1992.

Attention UH Case Medical Center Employees Working in Bishop, Prentice, Mather, and Wearn
This week and over the coming weeks, Cisco phones will be placed into operation. Project OneNet team members will be in your area when the phones go into operation and will provide some basic training to users. Employees are encouraged to sign up for the online or live phone training sessions via the LMS and visit the Project OneNet Web site on the intranet. Important note: Once your new Cisco phone goes into operation, retrieve all voicemails on the Rolm phones as the messages do not transfer to the new Cisco phones.

UH Ireland Cancer Center is the Presenting Sponsor for the Susan G. Komen Northeast Ohio Race for the Cure Saturday, Sept. 11. Cleveland Heart Walk
The Cleveland Heart Walk is Saturday, Aug. 21, on Mall C in downtown Cleveland. The festival begins at 7 a.m. and the 1- or 3-mile non-competitive walk begins at 9 a.m. Let’s show our support for the American Heart Association by raising funds and awareness in the fight against heart disease and stroke – our country’s number one and number three killers. For every dollar that is raised $2 comes back to Cleveland for research, education and advocacy.

Second Annual Rainbow Benefit at The Boneyard
This Wednesday, The Boneyard in Mayfield will host its second annual event to benefit UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. Last year’s event, Boneyard’s Bash for the Babies, welcomed more than 800 guests and raised nearly $25,000 for UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. Don’t miss the fun this year! This year’s event, “One Night,” is hoping to surpass last year’s success. “Live Long, Live Strong” Health Fair this Friday at UH Otis Moss Health Center
All employees are invited to the “Live Long, Live Strong” health fair this Friday, Aug. 13 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at UH Otis Moss Health Center. The event will feature health screenings and interactive educational activities as well as raffles, prizes and fun activities for children.
The health fair will include the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, Mammo Van, Cleveland Sight Mobile, Dept of Public Health Mobile, American Sickle Cell Anemia Association, NORA HIV testing, and representatives from our audiology and respiratory departments, among others.
